[Info-ingres] So we advertised for a new DBA...?

Absolutely bang-on.

I wonder how many people on this list is new to ingres and how many have
used it for donkey's years and so has the company they work for?

I suspect very few ingres users are new to the technology in comparison
to the old-hands.

If a DBA is coming to Oxford University, where could they come from?
only another company that already uses Ingres and they probably like to
hang on to their ingres DBAs because they probably are the only one in
the company that understands it.

Is ingres an oak-tree technology now, or is there a place where the
green-shoots are?

I worked at Oxford University many years back on the computerisation of
the SOED. It was an interesting experience.
