[Info-ingres] So we advertised for a new DBA...?

Hi Marty;
I would have said it was probably a combination of:
* Linux...where I work we have been using Linux for about 5
years...and it's still regarded as 'not Windows'
* Ingres - not a lot of visibility these days...forget the technical
quality - how many times do you hear about Ingres? Postgres, yes; SQL
server - ad nauseam; MySQL - of course; Db2 and Ingres..rarely.
* Salary - probably a little low
Hell, I would likely have applied if I were nearby, did not have an
existing DBA job, and was not thinking of retiring this year - it
sounded fun.
