[Info-ingres] Ingres GPL'd for commercial purposes

Hi

I’ve used the GPL edition in one “production” instance, and that was to replace an ancient Ingres II 2.0 with a read-only archive copy of the database at the point the old application was finally retired for minimal cost (last year, believe it or not). You might get away with it in a more normal transactional environment, but I’m not sure “getting away with it” is a design criterion most of us would be comfortable with (bean counters may be different though ;)

Cheers,
- Tony
