[Info-ingres] SSH Tool Cmdr and Ingres

Hi All,

A user has written:
Just wondered if you had come across this problem working with Ingres. Of course it could be a problem with my ssh client. I use something called Cmdr, which I like.

The problem is that-something like a space or a tab character in the output from an Ingres query will include triplets of nonsense characters. Each triplet will contain, from left to right:


1.       A pair of musical notes (strange!).

2.       An "x"

3.       A "star" or asterisk.


These appear all over the place in my output.

Their environment has:
TERM=cygwin
TERM_INGRES=vt100fx

I've never heard of the 'Cmdr' client. Does anyone have any suggestions?
