This is very sad news. I met Mark at CA World '95. He was a formidable
presence.

Apart from when he offered me a job in about 1997(?) one of my lasting
memories of Mark was a riverboat cruise, with him provoking Kitty
Weaver, Dwight Coles, you, me, Wojtek Rappak, and and probably a lot of
other people with an endless stream of logic puzzles, while we were
just trying to get through all the free beer.

I think we did have that conversation; he was getting exercised about
bills of materials I think.
