[Info-ingres] report writer question - query fails in RW but OK in sql

oops this was the error 


Reading report specifications and preparing query . . .
E_US09C6 line 1, Syntax error on 'create'.  The correct syntax is:
    CREATE TABLE tablename
       [(columnname {, ... })]
   AS subselect
   [with_clause]
    (Thu Feb 18 13:30:13 2016)

E_RW13EE Error in setup or cleanup section found
    Statement in error was:
  ''

E_RW100A 1 error(s) have occurred in setting up the report. No report will
    be written.  Correct errors and rerun.

the following query works in SQL (isql) but fails when run in report 
writer - does report writer use older version of sql? 


 create table numreelsresults_w_rrp 
 as select nreels = count (distinct roll_number), 
   n_tests = count(test_res ) 
   from 
  rxrpy_w_rrp;
