7 laptop with the community edition of ingres installed on it. though the
database is on a 10.2 Linux server. </font>

which maintains a table with attributes which are varchar (250) not null
with default</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">looking at the table via isql - you
can see \n where the form feeds are.</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I am running a report writer (.rw) which
gives a text file (actually a python script) the&quot;\n&quot;s are somehow
truncating the field everything after \n is lost for that field. </font>

&nbsp;the other parts of the attribute were displayed in the output file
