We have a few different client Docker images internally at Actian, those are the ones I've been most involved with. We should have a Jupyter one public soon.

I've not spent much time looking at the server side of deployments, we are making use of it internally and its been worth while for us and our use case. There is a public Vector Dockerfile and it could be repurposed for ActianX/Ingres with minimal changes.

As Roy commented in another thread, unless you need to deploy *many* server instances, Docker is likely to be more of a bother as you need to configure persistent storage. If this is for a handful of machines a VM may be easier to manage - either via templates and new VMs or migrating existing VMs. It is going to depend on your use case and what infrastructure is already in place. If you are already heavily invested in Docker then it probably makes more sense. If there are already VMs that are working, migrating to a new host is likely the easier path.
