[Info-ingres] SIGSEGV v's SIGBUS on SOLARIS Ingres II 11.0.0 (su9.us5/100)

Hi,

 

I teased our resident DBA out of his Covid bunker and he pointed out that
the system is running two servers with shared cache so Ingres would supress
the core file generation.

 

We're pondering the stats now.

Hi,

 

I've got a customer test server which is objecting to being asked to do work
by throwing a lot SIGSEGV and one SIGBUS.

 

We got a core file for the SIGBUS but not the 10 SIGSEGV.

 

Anyone any ideas why the SIGSEGV is not giving us core files?

 

I think it is spewing up its own statistics as we did refresh them to get
round a first spat of issues.
