[Info-ingres] Changing isolation level in mid-transaction

According to the documentation "The SET SESSION ISOLATION LEVEL
statement must be issued before a transaction starts".

Trying to change the isolation level mid-transaction makes no sense
and I don't want to do so. In fact if I ever do accidentally try I
want/need to get an error message similar to the E_US1722 I get if I
try to change the lockmode in mid-transaction.

But I don't get an error. (I tried a couple of versions, up to and
including 10.2. I didn't try 11 yet.)

Should I get an error? Or is the documentation misleading and it
really means I can set the isolation level any time but it takes
effect when the _next_ transaction starts?
