Hi All,
On II 10.2.0 (a64.lnx/100) +p15162
I have an installation with two work locations defined, namely: II_WORK and ii_work_2.
We needed to change a databases work location from II_WORK to ii_work_2 and it seemed to work. The database promptly used ii_work_2 with no problems. We tracked a job which had over 65G written into ii_work_2 for the database, and at the end of the job the work area went back to zero bytes. All seemed well.
Then we tried to back up the database after some routine maintenance....
E_CL0610_DI_DIRNOTFOUND The directory pointed to path could not be found
Error encountered while calling opendir() with the following path argument: ( /.). Check that directory exists and that
Mon Jul 16 09:21:39 2018 E_DM1100_CPP_BAD_LOCATION Error checkpointing database; unusable location found.
Mon Jul 16 09:21:39 2018 E_DM110B_CPP_FAILED Error occurred checkpointing the database.
The errlog provides no extra information.
It's easily reproducible.
createdb bowtest -f nofeclients -nosrid
extenddb bowtest -lii_work_2 -Uwork
unextenddb bowtest -lii_work -Uwork
ckpdb bowtest
I've run verifydb -odbms_catalogs on the database and it's fine.
We've applied the test on an Ingres 11 platform and it's OK.
Marty
