I don't know how the ulimit plays with the pipe to abrt-hook-ccpp. You
may well be right. I don't have root privileges on that system, which I take
to mean I'm not expected nor required to know (nor find out) such
things.  :-)

I am told that they did find the remnants of a Firefox dump...

In case you're wondering, there is a not-super-responsive third-party
managing the OS which is why I feel it is probably going to be quicker
to prove it's not working than to ask if it is working.
