Ah, the light dawns.  That's the spatial library which is a separate thing.
If you aren't using spatial, there might be a way to tell the Ingres libraries to
not bother with libgeos and friends.  (And if there isn't a way, there should be!)

It's the libgeos and libproj stuff that you need to investigate.  Those are
third party / open source libraries which presumably you can rebuild if
necessary.  I don't believe that we've made any non-contributed changes to
those libraries, and if we have, said changes are, or need to be, published
somewhere.
